Monitoring PLC Data and Program
Below is shown the MS-DOS version of
“Movement Controller”
screen used to display and adjust the memory of the PLC (any data file).
The PLC data is displayed in decimal in the top part of the screen, and
hexadecimal in the lower part, while the selected word is shown in binary below
that again.
The symbol of the data element at the cursor is automatically displayed. This
applies to the cranes as well so long as they are based on Allen-Bradley PLC-5
or SLC-500 controllers.
From this screen you can also call up the animated ladder program listing.
This, along with the monitoring and optional logging of all communications,
and the access to the Pick-to-Light microprocessors, illustrates the seriousness
with which we approach the diagnostic side of the product.
